At the center of Disney Common's is the Common's Town Square and Town Hall. This area provides a great space for communal gathering, Disneyland Community events, and fantastic spaces for festivals and relaxing. At the center of this area sits the Media Beacon and the Town Hall.

Town Square

Surrounded by trees and threaded together by colorful paths, swaths of green, and decorative monuments, the town square provides Disney Commons and the Disney Avenue area with a unique epicenter. The Square itself is actually a long green strip of 'park land' in the center of Disney Avenue.

At the center of the Town Square; facing the Town Hall; is the Media Beacon. The Media Beacon is a tall 35ft tower that holds screens for live advertisements. These ads will be for the Disney Commons complex, the stores there, and the Disneyland Resort. At times live events will also be streamed from here. On New Years Eve, this plaza will come to life when the "Mouse Ear's" come down to declare the start of a new year! The Media Beacon is just another special and unique feature of this park.

Town HALL

At the center of Disney Avenue is the Commons Town Hall. Within the Commons Town Hall will be a permanent exhibit of Disneyland History. This exhibit will be based on the exhibit planned for the Carousel of Progress during Disneyland's 60th Birthday but ultimately canceled. It will find a new home in Town Hall. Disney Commons will partner with the Walt Disney Museum in San Francisco, and the Walt Disney Company Archives to put together the permanent Disneyland Museum (In Town Hall) and to put together rotating Disney exhibits.

The Town Hall is decorated in the turn of the century Gothic/Hausmann style and is designed to feel timeless and classic. The building features five small exhibit halls and a small 100 person theater. The theater will show a film detailing the history of the Disney Theme Parks, from Disneyland's Development to Shanghai Disneyland's. It will cover 60 years of building the happiest places on Earth.
