Pixar Place Expansion
Nemo's Reef:
Replacing the Magic Carpets flat ride and the surrounding area is one of the most ambitious projects of the refurbishment: an entirely new indoor sub-land inspired by some of Pixar's most famous films: Finding Nemo and Finding Dory
Nemo's Reef can be assessed through a wide cave opening found in a large coastal rock formation, camouflaging the show building of the new land and the neighboring Crushes Coaster . Cascading waterfalls fall from the rocks onto the sandy shore below. Truly a beautiful feast for the eyes.

Once inside, guests find themselves in a replication of the Great Barrier Reef from the film at a fish-eye-view. Guests weave through larger-than-life coral and rock formations straight out of the film. Lighting is altered to simulate different time periods in the ocean. During a summer day at noon, the ocean is bright and vibrant. Visit at night, and the ocean dims down and becomes cool and tranquil.

That's not all though. The coral reef itself is actually one amazingly themed giant playground. The reef structures are slides, kid-friendly climbing structures, and twisting mazes though rock formations.
The attractions themselves aren't too ambitious. Done with special permission from the Oriental Land Company, copies of flat rides from Tokyo DisneySea's Mermaid Lagoon are brought here and modified to fit the theme better.
Blowfish Balloon Race and Jumpin' Jellyfish are brought to Paris and replicated. These two flat rides, along with the playground, add toddler-friendly attractions for the whole family to enjoy.

The highlight of the new additions is a copy of Finding Nemo: The Musical from Animal Kingdom, a live Broadway-style 45 minute long adaptation of Finding Nemo. This will add an amazing experience to the park's delicate slate of engaging live shows.
And then there's the refurbished Crushes' Coaster, a spinning coaster through the world of Finding Nemo simulating a journey through the reef and the EAC. The track and queue are rerouted to fit with the new construction. The outdoor segment remains, now snaking around the beautiful exterior of the land.
All together, Nemo's Reef is one of the must-sees at the park, combining an immersive world with family-friendly attractions.
Metroville
Replacing the space occupied by Catastrophe Canyone section of the backlot tour, Metroville is a highly immersive sub-land themed to one of Pixar's best films, The Incredibles!
Here, tall city buildings rise high above you. Cars are parked near the sidewalks. A quaint, yet charming cafe rests nearby. Guests are completely immersed into the big city environment.

The star of the show is the awe-inspiring Incredibles Super Showdown motion-based dark ride!
This amazing ride uses the brand new RAV (Rotational Automated Vehicle) ride system, also being used at the equally awesome Avengers attraction over at DCA. The RAV allows guests to experience an action-packed dark ride at 360 degrees!
Enter the new attraction through the grand Metroville Bank. From the start, something is clearly wrong. The entrance to the bank has been blown wide open! A robbery is clearly in progress!
Inside, guests are recruited by none other than the Incredibles themselves to help clear the streets of the culprits, a supervillan team made of the superhero team's greatest enemies.
Guests then board Incredi-pods in order to pursue the villains. Throughout the ride experience, the Incredi-pods will extend up,down, left, and right to provide a dark ride experience like no other!
