New Innoventions

Page Title

When Epcot first opened in 1982, CommuniCore was intended to be the park's central exhibit space with eight different show areas. From 1994 - 2022, the space was updated and re-themed to Innoventions, and has been the home of the latest advancements in scientific technology. A showcase to entertain, educate, and explore how we have evolved over time, from the distant past to a promising tomorrow.

As part of the Future World Refurbishment Project, New Innoventions will open with several different exhibits and events that embrace the foundation for which this space was built, and also promises to make it one of the highlights of your trip to Epcot.

New Innoventions West

The Depths presented by the University of California-San Diego

Replacing "Where's the Fire", this exhibit shows how recycling has helped the world and shows how much of a difference we have made over the years.

Create E.P.C.O.T. presented by AT&T
An interactive zone replacing The Great Piggy Bank Adventure. In this exhibit, you can let your imagination run free and design your own version of the city of Epcot - an experimental prototype community of tomorrow. Here you can create your version of the future and save it to your MagicBand, so that when you get home, you can print out the concept art from your new vision of the future for a model city in which to work, live, and play.

The Gallery
Join Tom Morrow 2.0 and SMRT-1 for a look through the past of Epcot, exploring the history and how it came to be. While all cohesive theme parks should strive to push the limits and not rest on their laurels, having a keen sense and appreciation for the history of a place is key for its success. This exhibit will hopefully share in a fun, interactive way to newer audiences the journey that Epcot took to get where it is today.

New Innoventions Plaza

As part of the refurbishment, the Fountain of Nations will be re-named to Fountains Center, an homage to the original Epcot title, Epcot Center. The aquatic aerial display show will be revitalized with a historical touch. The upgraded water jets and surrounding area will now dance and go off to classic old Epcot music, brought back for another day in the sun. Here, guests will be able to listen to and gaze in wonder as they watch the fountain show choreographed to these Epcot songs:

- Energy, (You Make the World Go 'Round) - Universe of Energy
- Tomorrow's Child - Spaceship Earth
- Celestial Soda Pop - Wonders of Life
- Horizons Theme - Horizons
- It's Fun to be Free - World of Motion
- Veggie Veggie, Fruit Fruit - The Land

In addition, the tarp over Innoventions Plaza will be removed therefore restoring the view to the classic Epcot Center appearance.
